Earlier this week, Responsible Wood held its Annual General Meeting at Federation University in Churchill, Victoria, bringing together members, directors, staff and special guests to reflect on a year of progress in responsible forestry and certification.
The meeting also marked the release of the Responsible Wood 2024/25 Annual Report, which outlines achievements against key priorities and highlights milestones such as the introduction of an annual Business Plan to guide the organisation’s strategic focus. The revision of the Constitution for the Australian Forestry Standard Pty Ltd, approved by members at the AGM, ensures Responsible Wood maintains effective governance arrangements and business efficiency into the future.
The report acknowledged the valuable contributions of outgoing Director Katie Fowden and welcomed new appointments to the Board, including Clarissa Brandt, David Bennett and David Little, as well as Christine Briggs appointment as independent Director. Responsible Wood also welcomed Mark Ross as the new Chair of the New Zealand Forest Certification Association, strengthening collaboration across the Tasman.
We thank our Board and members for their continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards in sustainable forest management and chain of custody certification.
