Responsible Wood is set to take its message across the Bass Strait with a series of workshops organised with Fine Timber Tasmania licensee holders.
Set to be held in Launceston and Hobart the workshops will provide Fine Timber Tasmania licensee holders with the opportunity to discuss the Responsible Wood certification scheme as well as to reinforce the logo usage requirements for both Responsible Wood and PEFC.
The first workshop is scheduled to be held at the UTAS School of Architecture in Launceston on Wednesday, the 21st of November 2018 with the second workshop to be held in the Sustainable Timber Tasmania offices in Hobart on Thursday, the 22nd of November 2018.
One of Responsible Wood’s leading Group Chain of Custody license holders, Fine Timber Tasmania incorporates a sum of 30 different licensees operating a variety of timber based businesses throughout Tasmania.
According to Fine Timber Tasmania’s Chain of Custody Coordinator, Mark Leech “the workshops will provide clarity to all our licensees, the Responsible Wood certification scheme is critical to all our licensee businesses, it provides our members with access to domestic and international markets.”
Presenting the workshop, Responsible Wood’s Marketing and Communication Officer, Jason Ross will provide licensee holders with a Responsible Wood certification scheme update and will be available to attend to an extensive Q&A session upon the workshop’s completion.
“Our scheme holders are the bedrock of the Responsible Wood certification scheme, Fine Timber Tasmania is one of our largest Group Chain of Custody licence holders incorporating a diverse range of timber based businesses operating both in domestic and international markets.”
“The scheduled workshops are an example of how we continue to work with our scheme holders to communicate our environmental and social credentials within the marketplace,” Mr Ross said.
