This month we hear from Slavko Hudak, a runner-up in our 2019 ‘Experience Forests, Experience PEFC’ photo contest.
Slavko tells us more about his photo ‘Sun Rays in the Morning’ and why he loves the forest and visits it whenever he can.
How do you feel about forests, both professionally and personally?
A place like the one in my photo is very difficult to find. I was lucky that I was in the right place at the right time. The photos I take in the forest, like this one, give me lots of energy.
How did the forest inspire you to take your winning photo?
I am very close to nature. Nature and especially forests are very important for me. That is the reason why I am visiting the forest whenever I can.
What do you think about the work that an organisation such as PEFC does to care for forests?
I think it is very important to have organisations like PEFC that are taking care of nature and our forests.
