We’re pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Responsible Wood 2025 Community Grants Program.
The initiative reflects our commitment to supporting sustainable Australian forests and the communities that depend on them. We believe communities are stronger, healthier, and more resilient when they are able to connect with, understand, and enjoy their local forests.
Through the program, regional and rural community groups may apply for grants of between $2,000 and $15,000 to deliver local forest-based projects that provide benefits to both communities and the forests they rely upon.
Examples of eligible projects include:
- construction or upgrades of recreational facilities
- interpretive signage
- forest rehabilitation or habitat improvement works
- bushfire-related commemorations
- forest-based art installations and events
Who may apply
Applications are encouraged from registered charities, Landcare and other environmental organisations, and Indigenous organisations, Men’s sheds, incorporated community groups, sporting clubs, art groups, councils, educational institutions and registered bike or bushwalking clubs.
Applications close Friday, 31 October 2025.
Successful projects must be completed by 30 June 2026.
