Responsible Wood Attends Investment NSW Export Capability Program in Goulburn
Responsible Wood recently attended the Investment NSW Export Capability Program meeting held in Goulburn, NSW. This significant event, organised by Investment NSW, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, and Community Bank BDCU, with support from the Export Council of Australia, aimed to equip businesses with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful international trade.
The workshop, titled “Introduction to Export,” brought together businesses from across the Southeast Tablelands to explore the essentials of exporting, assessing business capacity and capability, and identifying potential markets. The comprehensive agenda included topics such as broader international trade themes, the importance of having an export plan, protecting intellectual property, and discovering sales channel opportunities like e-commerce. Participants also learned about freight, logistics, pricing, accessing finance, and ensuring secure payments.
Matt de Jongh, Sustainability Manager at Responsible Wood, emphasised the importance of such programs in promoting sustainable and ethical business practices.

Matt stated,

As part of the program, Investment NSW provided businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the global market including understanding the intricacies of international trade which is essential for any business looking to export.
The workshop covered critical questions such as “Is going global right for your business?” and delved into reviewing business capacity and capability, identifying markets, and getting the value proposition right. These sessions provided invaluable insights for businesses at various stages of their export journey.
